THE DONKEY -Attitude -GOOD ONE

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon,
everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less

Reply for a forwarded mail

I got a mail forwarded my friend, for which another friend has replied as below:
If Columbus had been married, he might never have discovered America , because he would have had to answer all the following questions:

  • Where are you going? ---- To be away from you
  • With whom? ---- Not with Women again
  • Why? - To get peace of mind
  • How are you going? – Certainly not going to tell you
  • To discover what? --- My lost happiness
  • Why only you? -- BcozI like to be alone once again
  • What do I do when you are not here? - Last thing you can do is “Not to remember me”
  • Can I come with you? - Then I stay.. you go…
  • When will you be back? - Good question
  • What will you bring for me? - If I come back then I would think
  • You deliberately made this plan without me, didn't you? -Well guessed it…
  • You seem to be making a lot of these programs lately... – Understood the value of being lonely
  • Answer me – why? --- Certain things not to be disclosed
  • I want to go to my mother’s house. – PLEASE PLEASE do
  • I want you to drop me there. --- For the last time right
  • I don’t want to come back – ever! -- WOW
  • What do you mean, OK? - I am very Happy
  • Why aren't you stopping me? -- Do I look like a fool to you..
  • I don’t understand what this whole ‘discovery’ thing is about. – Before seeing, I wanted to discover you,, now,, i want to discover the peace.
  • You always do things like this. --- Yes,, very much important
  • Last time also you did the same thing! – That did not worked out.. so now I want to do it again
  • Nowadays you always seem to do this kind of stuff. --- You know it… it feels good to be away from trauma
  • I still don’t understand what else is left to be discovered! ---- Apart from you.. everything is there to discover, certainly I do not want to discover you again.

Thoughts flowing in me

  • Life is so simple, but the situations makes it so complicated where one would have lost that ability to understand the simplicity
  • The difference between the attitude and the arrogance. One should know when to be arrogant and when to throw attitude.
  • Change is permanent, everything else is momentary
  • Time is lovely waves which pass only once with its imprints left behind
  • All are only characters in a play, where one would have a definite role to stage

Gyaan

Today came across a situation, where I found the following needs to be known by a hiring manager before hiring a person:

One should know for which a person is been hired
One should know what needs to get done from the person hired
The one hired should know what he/she knows to do

If these points are crystal clear, most of the work can be offloaded and will fall in place. But if one fails to know this prior, trust me it a mess for a HR, Hiring Manager and the applicant.

Perception

Perception will drastically change with times. It is just the formation of concept and a process of conceiving: cognizance by the senses or intellect. Everyone has deep pre-conceived perceptions, beliefs and views of all that is important to them. This is something, which would shape the individuality and make one unique.

To change these beliefs and views to that of another person's, especially when there is change, is not prudent. The immediate reaction to persuasion is to resist, defend and reject even when they are wrong. If one does succeed in overcoming the refusal, they might concede reluctantly after repeated attempts. Then might misunderstand that person,  for making them aware, they are wrong about what they believed or felt was right in the first place.

None of them want to be proved wrong; rather would like some compliments or appreciations. We tend to like people who will keep up the beliefs of others and know to respect their individual’s decisions.

Cloudy but blue sky

The climate is cool and not feel like working at all..
The view from the workstation is tempting me for a long drive on the country side, wherein I can be part of the mother nature and experience the uniqueness of creation.. Now I want to see squirrel cracking the net in midst of greens, rabbits moving around the bush, the cuckoo singing for me and the river flowing nearby,,,,

Wow, feel so good… No mood to work at all.. But no other option, I have to.

Telepathy…..

Sometime yesterday, I buzzed my friend and at the same time by my friend was thinking about me.. So I got a call immediately and we started speaking how come we both got to think about each other same time and got to contact then…. So we came up with the topic about incarnation.. Then we started discussing about incarnation and what bond we have shared in the past etc

But then I felt, it’s not about incarnation, whereas it’s the frequency match that we share, wherein we tend to communicate through the wavelengths which might be called as TELEPATHY.

Telepathy means :
· Telepathy is the direct transference of thought from one person (sender) to another person (receiver) without using normal sensory channels.
· The ability to communicate on another level than verbal and written - you communicate using only your mind. It's sending and receiving thoughts.
· Transfer of physical, emotional or mental energy, and or a combination of these energies, from one living being to another without physical contact.
· Telepathy is instinctual. Primitive species used it as a survival mechanism. It involves mind to mind contact communication - beyond the use of the five physical senses - sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell.

Well, this is one of the form of communication, wherein one can communicate or convey what they want… I think I am blessed with this as most often I tend to think about my loved ones and the next moment I get to speak to them or see them..

Campus Hiring

Well fresher's hiring has kept me occupied and has taken me to North Karnataka and explore some of the best talents which I had not but they lack communication skills. I was bit reluctant about my tour to the engineering colleges for hiring process, but the destination automatically pulled me there. We started on 27th Night and landed morning at Gulbarga, one of the nawab cites.. The city was not unto my expectation but no other choice, went to first engineering college as per the schedule and completed the tasks. Evening had some time to go around, so had been to the forts. Then started to Bellary for next day.

This place's climatic conditions were soothing and felt as though i am in Bangalore. The people are social and helpful. There was warm welcome from the city colleges for us which bought a wide smile. Actually had planned the to stay for one day, but got stretched to another day which was unplanned, at the same time got to eat variety of spicy food in the cool climate

Job Fair at GCC

I was part of this job fair which was held at 25th and 26th July 2009. This was a good experience as I represented as an Employer here where as four years back I was the part of the applicants. I got into the campus and got to see the young crowd looking for jobs. There was a different kinds of groups all together. Some of them where desperate for jobs and some came just to freak out and others to try their luck. The total number of participants numbered to 5000+ for two days.

As I was part of it, I got to meet many talented youngsters, without a job.. I observed that the applicants are not sure of what kind of job they are interested. They have no set goals for themselves, they never know which path they need to take to build their career. Their main motto is to just get a job. When it comes to choosing a way to move ahead with a career, these kids are trying to take any way, which might not be right one, when they open their eyes. It is best said in the story of “Alice in Wonderland”, which goes like this:

Alice asked:“Would you tell me which way I ought to go from here?”
The cat replied:“That depends a good deal on where you want to get.”
Alice says: “I really don’t care where” replied Alice.
Then The cat said: “Then it doesn’t much matter which way you go.”
The findings of this job fair were:

· There is plenty of resources which we are unable to use even as an employer and the aspirants

· The aspirants are supposed to do a research on the different avenues available for them, decide about the profile and the industry that excites them.
· They need to their own skills which they would fit in the role.
· They need to identify the gaps between the desired skills and the skills that you inherent.
· And need to always bridge these gaps through.

Angels & Demons

After reading the novel "Angels & Demons" by Dan Brown, got inspired and wanted to check out the movie . So finally decided to go to the movie today. As I had already knew about the story, my mind was mostly into comparison of the novel with the movie. It was most of the time contradicting but anyways writing is always better than featuring a movie. I felt that novel was more worth than the movie, but got to see the illuminati symbols, the churches, the library....
Here are some of the lines which I liked in the novel, thought to share with you...

· The moments of realization are those when all thoughts of wordly relations, wordly connections, wordly ties, wordly property, wordly desires, wordly needs are all melted into god, into truth..
· The energy we waste in judging others is just what is needed to make us live upto our own ideals.
· When the bubble bursts, it finds itself the whole ocean. You are the whole, the infinite, the all..
· Man’s mind is progressing faster than his soul.

Recession

Recession has hit many sectors and has created a worst scenario. Recently I got to watch a programme on one of the news channels, which was broadcasting about the people who have come up together to fight towards it by joining hands. It is all about the union of people who have been sacked from the organisations for different reasons. It’s a programme where in they are trying to reach the fellow beings who have undergone the similar trauma.

I became inquisitive about the approach that they carry with them, to overcome it. It was a forum to share ideas, about networking, to get to know the different ways of coming out, sharing about the vacancies etc. One of the don’ts was to cry for help. As this forum believes in motivating, rather than catering to their problems.

Actually, I see recession, in a way has helped all. It has made everyone stronger to act to it. It has helped to identify the hidden traits and bring to the surface, which has given genesis to entrepreneurs, who are doing excellence. It has be able to skim the highly motivated from the rest, who really have aspirations to take themselves to the heights.

I have been meeting a lot of people in the process of hiring. I got to hear, the actual facts, why they have been laid off. It’s not only because the organization is exposed to recession, but to take out the white elephants as well. It is one the way the organization is looking forward to keep the potential employees, who can reach up the ladder by filling the positions with the existing capabilities with process of continuous development. It is also trying to with hold the quality people, who are open to shoulder the responsibilities leading to succession planning.

I would say, it has got both pros and cons, but never the late, there should be a way out for everything. But I see, things falling into place gradually, still there are lot of job vacancies coming up but with less pays. But the paradox of younger generation is to see huge packages rather than getting into profiles available or the opportunity that is knocking their doors, which would surely mould their career down the line.

Thought for the Day

" I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is full of jealousy, hate, indifference and unproductive, a true symbol of negativity; other, a loving, compassionate one who is always keen to give his best, a symbol of positivism. How To React

How does one need to react when whole world is against you. I believe in myself and I know the time has its influence on all. It is the one which got to decide as what needs to be given to whom and that too when. I am even sure that whatever happens is for good and there would be hidden reason behind it, which only comes to light with the passage of time. But not sure as how to react, when you really don’t want to hear from others. I know, it requires courage to digest after hearing and comparatively much more strength is required to act sensibly.

Impressive Questions and Answers..... ....

Question 1: You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:
· An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
· An old friend who once saved your life.
· The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

* You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first;
* Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to !pay him back.
* However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. Guess what was his answer?

He simply answered:
"I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside the Box."

Question 2: What will you do if I run away with your sister?"
The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match for my sister than you sir"

Question 3: Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) - What is one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant.
Girl - I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.

Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked

Question 4: Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate.
Coffee arrived kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you?
Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea"
He got selected.

You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee was kept before.
(Answer: The question was "What is before you (U - alphabet) Reply was "TEA" ( T - alphabet)
Alphabet "T" was before Alphabet "U"

Question 5: Where Lord Rama would have celebrated his "First Diwali"?
People will start thinking of Ayodya, Mitila [Janaki's place], Lanka etc...
But the logic is, Diwali was a celebrated as a mark of Lord Krishna Killing Narakasura.
In Dusavataar, Krishnavathaar comes after Raamavathaar.
So, Lord Rama would not have celebrated the Diwali At all!

Question 6: The interviewer asked to the candidate "This is your last question of the interview.
Please tell me the exact position of the center of this table where u have kept your files."

Candidate confidently put one of his finger at some point at the table and told that this was the central point at the table.

Interviewer asked how did u get to know that this being the central point of this table,
then he answers quickly that sir u r not likely to ask any more question, as it was the last question that u promised to ask.....

And hence, he was selected as because of his quick-wittedness. ........

This is What Interviewer expects from the Interviewee. ....

Silence

Silence is one of the ways to find solutions. It avoids by getting more into problem. It helps to reciprocate the inner human. It makes to think to what you really want and where you need to go and also helps to understand where you are lacking. By telling others, you can attempt to give the glimpse of the situation but cannot make them understand what exactly is wrong. I can recall one of the saying which I have heard in my earlier days as Silence is first step for Sadhana. It could be distinct for every individual. But I feel, one needs to be away from everything that is keeping occupied from getting the eternal bliss...

Silence expresses most of the emotions but one need the complete concentration to understand what that really means. Most often I can experience that I am always occupied with problems and so I tend to be quiet, but it gives a different look altogether to the viewers. I can recall some moments of my school days wherein, we were supposed to be Silence for atleast half an hour. I now wonder I have already been trained the ways of happy living, with no knowledge of where it needs to be implemented, but I was unaware about the art of using it.

Many a times, when something really bothers I do prefer to be quiet, away from everything that distracts me from myself. Silence helps to visualize, analyze, question, to get ways out, provides alternatives and final output is the solution for all. The ultimate output would be an energized human with full of enthusiasm.

Memorable Evening

Yesterday, I was busy working on my comp, and then I could feel by the smell of the mud and cool breeze that someone is coming to visit me. So I decided to wind up and rushed to welcome my friend on terrace with eyes wide open for arrival. But then I could realise that even Mr. Blue had set eyes on our reunion. I know my friend was also desperate to see the cute smile as he had come twice, but I couldn’t make it up due to busy schedules.

I know she made me wait as she was bit annoyed with, as I could not spare some time, but then I kept by clock ticking, then thought to get back to complete the tasks. The moment I could take steps off, I spotted his arrival with tiny steps heading towards with its sparking drops falling on my eyes. To catch this sight, many others had also gathered. The breeze had come with its arm wide for a hug. The stars had hidden behind the clouds to surprise us. The moon was peeping to evidence our memorable gathering. The trees were all set to celebrate the event.

My friend had surprised by performing a dance for me along with the breeze with beautiful steps accompanied by a song from Cuckoo. The trees encouraged this with a loud applause by rattling their branches and the other birds twittering as chorus.

This all made me feel special wherein I was part of all and they enjoyed seeing me smiling with a glowing face. The time slipped from us with these sweet moments. And I could sense that the happiness had got transformed to tears as my friend had to depart. But I kept the hopes high by promising for our next gathering, by the time I could realise, she had already left me with a big smile with lot of freshness in mind and soul.

The Greatest Pain

A lovely mail, I received, that I am sharing with you.

• The Greatest pain in life is not to die, but to be ignored.
• To help someone out and the person doesn’t even say thank you
• To lose the person you love so much to another who doesn’t care at all.
• To have someone you care so much about, throw a party….and not tell you about it.
• When your favorite person on earth neglects to invite you to his Christmas party.
• To have people think you don’t care.
• The Greatest pain in life is not to die, but to be forgotten.
• To be left in the dust after another’s great achievement.
• To never get a call from a friend, just to say “Hi” When you show someone your innermost thoughts and he laughs in your face.
• For friends to always be too busy to console you when you need someone to lift your spirits.
• When it seems like the only person who cares about you is you.
• Life is full of pain, but does it ever get better?
• Will people ever care about each other, and make time for those who are in need?
• Each of us has a part to play in this great show called Life.
• Each of us has a duty to mankind to tell our friends we love them.
• If you do not care about your friends, you will not be punished.
• You will simply be ignored….forgotten…. as you have done to others.

This poem was written by a young girl who committed suicide some years ago.

Please show someone you care for him/her today. It takes so little of your time to smile, give a hug, a word of encouragement or just to say “I care”.

Life is Beautiful!

Given the topic that Life is beautiful is simple topic but when you starting blogging then one get caught within your thoughts. It is just an experience that makes you feel that Life is really beautiful. It is an illusion that you carry with. Life is a journey which starts with the time one opens the eyes in this beautiful world.

Life seems to be beautiful as you start liking it. Once you start liking, even a butterfly with different colors makes the viewer to go in deep thoughts. A child’s smile makes the day gloom. Life is beautiful is an assumption which is all together. Life is full of blessings that makes it more beautiful and its also depends the attitude one carry to adapt to life. Life is about hope and positivity and that makes it beautiful. It is this feeling which makes one feel lively.

Older Days of Life

I was going through one the blogs and was dumb stuck at one point, where the author was speaking about his experience with regard to a woman in her old days. The old woman was in need of food and a shelter in one of the holy place, for which the author has provided her with the meal for that day. I too have experienced this many a times, wherein for that particular moment one can help with the necessities, but once you are back to the respective places, the saga of old age continues.

While putting across these views, I can recall one of the instance which I can never forget. At the time of my school days there was a petty shop near my place, wherein I used to buy my stationeries and eatables most often. The owner of the shop was a middle aged man with average physic. He was running this shop accompanied with his wife. The man was furious with no patience and was yelling at the customers visiting the shop. Many a times, I too was scared to go as the way he used to treat the customers was something most of them would have felt not to visit again, since there was no other shop, everyone has to turn back.

The days passed, I moved on to my higher studies, similarly the man grew old and his son took over the shop. But still the old man was supporting his son and his wife passed away. One fine day, I got to know the shop was closed, then we had to move on with alternative.

At the time of completion of my graduation, I used to visit Old age Homes and Orphans Home on weekends. On one of the Saturday, I had been to Old age home with my friends, wherein we had took the utilities with some of the clothes and the food. We all went in and started distributing the items among all and as I went on, I could see someone observing me from far. At first look, I could not recognize the face of the person, then I went near to him, and to my surprise, it was t he same person who was the owner of that petty shop. My first observation was that he had depression on his face which was accompanied by his past. His wet eyes where expressing the grief and was recalling his journey of life and with a feeling that his family has abandoned him at this stage of life. The sight had bought a drops of tear in my eyes, wherein I started feeling that parents breed their children with a hope that they might support them at Older days. After seeing him in this condition, the assumptions had to change and one needs to move on.

The best part was that he had been send to a Old Age Home, where someone is there to take care unlike the one I had mentioned earlier in the blog who would be put on road. As we move on in the journey of our life, we get many companions but they last for only short period and at the end you have come all alone and will be going on alone.

It's not the question of apologizing, whereas it is a matter of understanding the resume. And I felt your words were direct and I just made you clear. And I never respond anyone so rudely but when I went through the mail, I felt so. I have regrets for such an attitude.
Thanks and all the best.

My Apologies Ms. SV, what I noticed I had just asked you as a friend, if you feel my words are so criticizing then you are wrong as I don't know about your career as what you have been doing as we did not have communication since 2 yrs.
Well anyways you take care and please learn not to respond to emails in such headstrong and rude way as its always not good to the reader.
Well, I think you are so grown up and think you also learned how to help yourself without any friends or anyone.
Take care SV and long bye from my end.
